How can it be that a Windows Mobile device can run Playstation game with all the graphics and speed that needed? That is what I asked myself when I first heard about FPSEce emulator. This great app really runs great on Pocket PC but only in two models – Dell Axim x50v and x51v.

Playing Playstation game on Pocket PC
FPSEce emulator runs almost all Sony Playstation games that released to the market. Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3 and Tomb Raider Legends are all you need to pass another ride on the bus with your Windows Mobile Pocket PC. But don’t forget PSX games are big so you’ll need an extra storage card dedicated to it.
The FPSEce emulator is free for download for any Windows Mobile Pocket PC users. But I’ll recommend you to use the application only if you have Dell Axim x50v or x51v because if not, you’ll spend the rest of your day trying to play Playstation game with a slow FPS. Have fun with your new game machine.
It’s been a long time since I heard the word Pocket PC. The portable operating system of Microsoft, Windows Mobile, has leaving the PPC devices. Once Windows Phone 7 OS will be released to the market those devices will disappear forever.

Bye Bye Pocket PC
Smart phones began to be distributed throughout the world countries while keeping the attraction of new customers to the Windows Mobile operating system. PDA devices are no longer being sold without a phone feature what makes it smartphone, no Pocket PC.
Windows Mobile operating system is going to grow but the Pocket PC devices will be extinct. In any case this does not mean the PDA features will stop; only that device will include the phone feature and will be called as smartphone instead of PPC.
Pocket PC devices always attracted customers to the Windows Mobile operating system. HP, one of the best known companies among these devices, also stopped to produce new PPC models like other companies. The main reason is the entry of WM based smartphones.
There is no need to worry as you can see, Pocket PC devices diminished because the technological progress has brought cellular users the smartphones. People don’t want to take two devices with them and want Windows Mobile OS to be included in their smart phone.
Some people still use Pocket PC devices but slowly they all start using smartphones. Windows Mobile is not expected to disappear and even the new 7 version is about to be released and will include more features than its predecessors.
Asus is disappointing with her Windows Mobile Pocket PC, the A730, which does not constitute progress in ppc devices. This device has poor specification that will not provide ideal conditions for work. Asus could do more then this!

Shitty Pocket PC
Asus A730 has disappointing specification. The Pocket PC comes with Windows Mobile 2003 that is an old version of the operating system. In addition it has a 64MB RAM not sufficient even to open 2 programs simultaneously, compared to Dell Axim ppc that comes with 128MB of RAM. The device does not come with built-in WiFi tuner so you can’t enjoy wireless internet. The 520 MHz processor of the Asus Pocket PC device is its only advantage, but in combination with other specification, this is not contributing much.
Asus A730 is a big disappointment from a successful global company. I do not recommend purchasing this Windows Mobile Pocket PC device.
Many of us have heard recently about GPS devices called PNA that come with navigation software and looks like a PDA devices. Make no mistake! Pocket PC devices are very different.
PNA – What is it actually
Personal Navigation Assistant has a built-in GPS receiver and software like iGo, Destinator etc. The device usually comes with Windows Mobile Core Edition that allows a limited number of uses. Some PNA devices allow hearing of music and watching videos. These devices are totally different from PDA (Pocket PC) devices.
PDA (Pocket PC) – Why is it different?
Personal Data Assistant devices come with Windows Mobile Classic/Professional and got all the features like receiving/sending emails, writing content in Word, installing applications and more. PDA device cost about 250$ more then PNA device and allow the GPS navigation and more.
After you heard the explanation on PDA and PNA devices you may choose your Windows Mobile device
.
Windows Mobile users always ask themselves what is more appropriate for them. Some users prefer the Pocket PC that allows managing information efficiently and some prefer the smartphone that lets all of that plus the phone function.
Windows Mobile based smart phones really proved themselves in recent years but many smartphone users do not get used to device phone feature. The solution is to buy a Pocket PC and a simple phone to save your headache.
So as we understood Pocket PC device includes features like a smartphone: Windows Mobile OS, Word, Excel, Bluetooth, WiFi and more. The only feature that is lacking is the phone function. The price differences are very significant! Smart phone price is higher by about 300$ then the ppc.
In conclusion I recommend everyone that uses Windows Mobile to check what device he needs: Pocket PC or smartphone. It’s very important to save your money!
Adobe has decided to reward users of Windows Mobile smartphones by developing innovative Flash technology that allows viewing the contents of Flash websites.
Flash Lite came to an end. Adobe has developed a new technology to view Flash-based Web sites on Windows Mobile smartphone devices. The new technology allows viewing contents using fewer resources and to get more surfing speed with battery life saving.
With Flash Player 10.1, Windows Mobile smartphone users can enjoy more content from the Internet. Adobe certainly showed that you can make the Web accessible to every Windows Mobile smart phone. Good job Adobe!

Dungeon and Hero games graphics is very beautiful and similar to the nostalgic RPG games like Zelda. The game sounds are amazing and cause you to settle your Pocket PC device for hours and it uses really few resources so every Windows Mobile ppc user should get this game working on full FPS.
Dungeon and Hero game is highly recommended for heavy ppc users. It will give you many hours of pleasure from your Windows Mobile device.
Microsoft released the Windows Mobile 6.1 and many of us ask what the differences between Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 operating systems?

Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 OS
The appearance of Windows Mobile 6.1 is a lot more respectable than the 6.0 and has beautiful icons and menus. It feels like the feeling Windows Vista created when it was released.
The SMS massages view in Windows Mobile 6.1 similar to Windows Messenger. All messages from one contact are displayed in sequence like instant messenger application. As a result it’s more convenient to see the messages.
Windows Mobile 6.1 has some improvements in Internet Explorer. It lets you zoom on the contents of pages and supports Flash Lite.
The last difference between Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.0 is the Task Manager, which allows seeing the amount of RAM the device use, just like on your PC.

Quake Mobile is a port of Quake for the Windows Mobile operating system. The game is a first-person game from ID Software who brought us Doom. The goal is to pass stages using weapons and items.

Quake port for Windows Mobile
The game contains 32 huge maps that cause the player to settle in Quake for hours with amazing landscape and frightening atmosphere. Quake Mobile equip the player on 9 weapons ready to kill anything that moves including grenade launcher, rocket launcher and more. The game offers a convenient control on the touch screen. The control is so comfortable that you’ll feel you actually not playing on Windows Mobile smartphone.
Quake Mobile is a great experience of playing on your Windows Mobile smartphone, but if your device does not contain graphic accelerator, the game will not work.
Windows Mobile operating system gives smartphone users the ability to control the PC through the device, this way, users can check what is happening on their PC without the need for another computer, and all they need is a smart phone running Windows Mobile 6.

Remote desktop in action
Windows Mobile 6 Professional includes the remote administration application from Microsoft, through which you can connect the PC from your smartphone and its settings similar to XP/Vista/7 remote desktop software.
Big disappointment for smartphone users is the processing speed of the remote desktop application. It shows the desktop in 256 colors and very difficult to navigate on your PC because of the low resolution of the Windows Mobile smart phone.
In conclusion, Microsoft spoiled the Windows Mobile smartphone users with the remote administration software but I would not recommend using it because of the difficulty involved in its operation on the smart phone. It’s best to just use remote desktop software from another computer.

Many of us ask what is so different between WM5 and Windows Mobile 6 operating systems it is so similar and yet there are some differences that I’ll mention on this article. And we’ll start…

Windows Mobile Operating System
Windows Mobile 6, contrast to WM5, contains changes in mobile messaging. It allows display HTML email messages and allows downloading contents of one message without clicking on Send/Receive to all messages. Messages filter can be performed to show only relevant messages to the filter.
Windows Mobile 6 includes the Windows Live software pack which is not included in WM5. It also contains WM Update that let you download updates for your device it also contains Marketplace application that allows the user to purchase software and download it directly to the smartphone.
You can see the Windows Mobile 6 has some improvements over WM5, but they are minimal. WM5 owners should not upgrade their device to the new operating system from Microsoft. It’s better and advisable to remain with the existing device.
